About us...
A neighborhood favorite and local landmark, Rooters was known as Tugboat Annies back in the 1950's. Later, the name changed to the Lake Sawyer Drive-In and, eventually, to Rooters. Verl and Sherri Potts kept that name when they bought the place 21 years ago. Then, In July 2002, Rooters suffered heavy damage in a fire that started in a gas-fueled barbecue. the building had to be torn down. The rebuilding process the Potts originally hoped would take only three to six months stretched out to more than a year. On October 1st, 2003, the staff welcomed friends and longtime fans back with a new "lodge" look, expanded seating, and a few new menu choices. Even though the restaurant has changed in appearance, the food and the spirit is still the same.
